Program Director
Location: Shawnee Mission, KS 66223
The Position
Congregation Beth Shalom seeks a Program Director with 2-5 years of experience to engage, implement and administer our congregational programming. This position reports to the Executive Director and works collaboratively with the executive team. Additionally, this position works closely with an engaged Board of Directors, an administrative team and volunteers.

What does success look like?
During the first year of this position, the successful program director will foster community engagement by delivering exceptional programming. We are seeking ways to innovate newer models of programming that are blossoming throughout North America. Our clergy team and our volunteer leadership welcome collaborative innovation. We seek to create a hub of Jewish living in the heartland.
Program Planning and Leadership
• Create, develop, and strategize engaging and high-quality programming and content that reflects the mission, values, and interests of the CBS community.
• Manage the special events, Shabbat and holiday related programming, youth programming and annual fundraisers.
• Manage data and budget to best meet organizational and departmental goals.
• Create and maintain relationships with education and clergy staff to best help bring their ideas to fruition.
• Network with affiliated organizations and create community partnerships.
Administration
• Manage programs from inception through execution, improve the administrative systems including calendar management, website management, registration, payment processing, attendance tracking, and event communications.
• Collaborate with communications and other organizational partners through outreach and engagement.
Compensation
This is a full-time position. We welcome applications of all races and genders. We are offering a base salary of $65,000-75,000 per year plus a benefits package. A 600 Family Conservative synagogue in Overland Park, KS, in suburban Kansas City that both has a 120+ year history and is still seeking innovation. We are focused on being a synagogue that creates Jewish living experiences. Our core values are Learning, Spirituality and Community. We have a robust preschool
with approximately 75 students 18 months – PreK. Our Polsky Religious School has approximately 110 students K-10. In addition to our supplemental school, an additional 75 children attend our community’s K-12 community Day School.

We have a robust Jewish Community Center, Jewish Federation, and a K-12 Jewish day school, the Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy.
